CSV Import Template

Move transactions from a spreadsheet, your bank export, or another budgeting app into Wally. Fill in the template below on your computer, then import it from the Wally app.

Columns

How to import

Download the template and open it in your spreadsheet app.
Keep the first row (the column headers) intact. Add one row per transaction below it.
Make sure every Category you use already exists in your Wally account — create any missing categories in the app first.
Save the file as CSV.
Open the Wally app, go to an account, and choose Import CSV. Select the file you just saved.

Tips

Dates must use YYYY-MM-DD. Other formats are rejected.
Amounts must be positive. Use the Type column to indicate Income vs. Expense.
Transfers are not supported via CSV import — add those directly in the app.
The Notes column is optional. You can leave it blank, or remove the column entirely if you don't need it.
